Massey Home Designs, LLC. began in 1970 as a small home design and build company in the Birmingham, Alabama area under the name Creative Design & Construction Company.

We designed and drew construction plans "blue prints" for our customers and then built the homes and additions per the plans.

In 1988, we were one of the very first in Alabama to branched into a new service industry which later became known as the home inspection industry of today. This branch of our business was named Preferred Consultants.

In 1990 we retired the homebuilding portion of our business to concentrate totally upon the design of custom energy efficient homes and our home inspection services. Our home designs often include alternative energy features such as Passive Solar elements, Photo Voltaic, Wind and Micro-Hydro power assisted designs. All of our designs are engineered for very high energy efficiency and can readily be constructed to current Green" standards.

In 2005, we modernized our design and drafting operation to include the latest in CAD (Computer Assisted Drafting) software, which eliminated the hand drawn drafting method we formerly used to product home plans.
